In this role, you’ll be a key member of our wind services team, performing major component exchanges that keep wind farms across the country running. We’re looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in precise, high-quality mechanical work and is ready to take on complex jobs in the field.
You’ll travel to wind sites throughout the United States to remove and replace major turbine components, including gearboxes, generators, main bearings, main shafts, hubs, and blades. Working alongside crane and rigging crews, you’ll help plan and carry out each exchange safely and efficiently, from pre-job preparation and component handling through bolting, torquing and tensioning, alignment, and final verification. Your work will directly reduce turbine downtime and help our customers keep power flowing to the grid.
To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance or major component work, a strong understanding of rigging and lifting practices, and the ability to read technical drawings and OEM procedures. Experience across multiple turbine platforms is a plus. Beitzel Corporation will support your continued growth with platform-specific training, advanced certifications, and opportunities to take on lead roles as your skills develop.
This is a full-time traveling position. You should be comfortable spending extended periods on the road at sites across the U.S., working at height and in changing weather conditions, and working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts to meet project schedules.
