Position Overview

In this role, you’ll be working on a wide range of commercial, industrial, and even some residential HVAC/R equipment, performing repairs, maintenance, and installations. If you enjoy providing top-notch customer service and have a knack for troubleshooting, this role is a great fit for you!

 

Your day-to-day will involve everything from minor electrical and plumbing repairs to installation work, all while delivering high-quality service and solutions to our clients. You’ll be working with a variety of equipment, gaining hands-on experience, and helping to keep systems running smoothly across various industries. 

 

This position offers a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel with overnight stays. You’ll get the chance to work on diverse and exciting projects, and the variety will keep things interesting!

What You'll Do

 

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and retrofits to a variety of equipment, including but not limited to commercial, industrial, and residential air conditioning, refrigeration, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, and control systems
  • Assist with site visits as needed to provide information for bids, etc.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting with electrical and plumbing applications
  • Serve as a resource to Apprentices for basic HVAC/R troubleshooting
  • Provide quality customer service while performing duties in the field

Working Conditions

 

  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
  • Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Work in extreme temperatures
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Perform duties on-site at industrial/commercial locations
  • Work at heights to include ladders, lifts, and rooftops

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ year’s of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC/R related work while holding a Journeyman or equivalent licensing
  • Possess and maintain an active HVAC/R license, MD Journeyman preferred
  • Possess a Universal EPA (Sect 608) Refrigerant and Recovery Certification required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license required
  • Ability and willingness to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient with the materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems
  • Willing to learn and expand skillset and certifications; desire to obtain MD Master’s HVAC/R License preferred
