Beitzel Corporation is seeking a motivated Field Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you’ll put your surveying skills to work in the field, supporting a wide variety of site and construction projects. From excavation layouts to construction staking, you will play an important role in ensuring projects are accurate, efficient, and successful. This position requires significant travel, as you will spend much of your time on the road working at different job sites. If you enjoy variety in your work, being outdoors, and seeing projects come to life from the ground up, this could be the perfect fit for you.
As a Field Surveyor, you will be responsible for completing survey work to support operations, assisting with conceptual site development, and providing accurate layouts for construction projects. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of surveying and civil work, be proficient with modern survey tools and equipment, and maintain the flexibility to work extended hours when projects require it.
• 3+ years of Construction/Grading Survey Crew Chief experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Prior construction inspection experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must possess attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and exactness
• Possesses computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft Office programs required
• Well versed in Computer Aided Design - AutoCAD
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or review
• Must be able to effectively adapt to ever-changing and ever-emerging customer needs
