Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Plumber/Pipefitter.  The Plumber/Pipefitter will participate in the installation, diagnosis and repair of commercial and industrial plumbing and piping. Such applications include, but are not limited to: Commercial Construction, Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal, Wind Energy, Solar, Commercial, Residential, etc. This position will require a flexible schedule that includes extensive travel and out-of-town work.  Candidates must be willing to work extended hours to include weekends, holidays and evenings.  Areas of operations include, but are not limited to:  MD, VA, PA, WV, OH and NJ. The Plumber/Pipefitter will work out of the Field Services Shop located in Grantsville, MD.

• Fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping, plumbing, steam water, and drainage systems.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems
• Correct openings in walls and floors in order to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
• Determine appropriate sizes, locations, tools and methods of solving plumbing and pipe fitting problems
• Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
• Maintains all tools, work area and equipment in clean and orderly fashion
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
• Able to red-line update drawings to an as-built condition

• Must have a minimum of a current Maryland Journey Plumbing/Gas Fitter's License. VA and WV are a plus
• Have at least (5) years' experience in the Commerical/Industrial plumbing and piping trade
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Maryland/National Plumbing Code
• Knowledge of Industrial Hot and Cold water systems, DWV systems, steam and condensate systems, HVAC piping systems
• Experience with all piping materials such as: grooved steel, welded piping systems, copper piping systems, stainless steel and plastic piping systems
• Must be knowledgeable with material take offs from drawings and specifications
• Must be self-sufficient with material procurement
• Must be dependable, trustworthy, have a positive attitude, and work well with co-workers
• Willing and able to: work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, travel with overnight stay, work overtime, work independently - without supervision

Working Conditions

• Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders and stairs; crawl; kneel
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds unassisted.

• Required safety equipment:  Metatarsal boots, ARC flash rated clothing, protective eye wear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection
