Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Project Manager - Civil. The Project Manager - Civil will quote, manage and direct Excavation projects to support the services and operations of Beitzel Corporation. Responsibilities will include: managing processes, personnel and resources to provide services, products and/or deliverables that are on-time; on-budget and that meet customer expectations. The Project Manager - Civil must possess the knowledge, experience and ability to work with new and/or developed customers to determine business and operational needs and to develop value-added opportunities for customers and expanded business opportunities for Beitzel Corporation.

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work extended hours to include weekends, holidays, evenings and occasional overnight/out-of-town work. Areas of operations include, but are not limited to:  Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New Jersey. The Project Manager will work out of the Corporate Office, located in Grantsville, Md. and report to the Group Leader/Sr. Project Manager of Civil and Excavation Services.

• Lead the quoting, planning and implementation of customer projects and initiatives
• Provide development and oversight of project scope, goals, scheduling, budgets, risk management and resource management
• Develop project plans, time lines, material coordination, job sequencing and labor requirements
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and cultivate customer relations and identify expanded business opportunities
• Manage and supervise project team members through effective planning, coordination and supervision
• Provide management and fiscal reporting and updates as required
• Identify potential problems and provide effective solutions and problem-resolution
• Maintain quality and safety standards without exception
• Perform related work as required

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management discipline required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Civil, Industrial, Energy, Aggregate or related industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess the knowledge, experience and ability to make sound business decisions that result in value to the customer and growth for the company
• Proficient in organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to excel under pressure and to meet budget and project deadlines
• Possess computer skills that include Microsoft Office programs to include Excel and Word
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to represent Beitzel Corporation in a professional, competent and courteous manner
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to effectively adapt to ever-changing and ever-emerging customer needs
• Preference will be granted to candidates with prior experience in Civil and/or Excavation Services management, estimating and new business development

 Working Conditions

• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include overtime as needed
• Position involves considerable travel with occasional overnight/out-of-town travel
• Must be safety and customer-focused without exception
• Flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
• Must be willing to work in harsh weather conditions as needed
