Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Logistics and Rental Procurement Assistant.  The Logistics and Rental Procurement Assistant will assist in scheduling the daily activities of commercial drivers to ensure the timely delivery and retrieval of company equipment to promote the proper and timely execution of field work. This position will also assist in securing and obtaining rental equipment to support Field Services jobs. The Logistics and Rental Procurement Assistant position will require a flexible schedule that will include extended work hours, along with some weekend and emergency call-out work as needed.  This position will possess mechanical and technical knowledge as well as customer service experience. This position is a shop-based position that will require extended work hours, along with some weekend and some call-out work. 


This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of transportation and fleet maintenance and must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed.


The Logistics and Rental Procurement Assistant will report to the Director of Fleet Services and will work primarily out of the Beitzel Mechanic Shop location.


  • Assist with creating and monitoring freight line schedules
  • Assist with scheduling drivers’ daily work
  • Assist with acquiring permits as needed in multiple states
  • Assist with the management of the ELD program
  • Respond to internal requests for freight
  • Assist with the coordination of the return and repair of equipment
  • Assist with the coordination of driver credentials, physicals, CDL renewals, etc.
  • Assist with creating job numbers for tracking purposes
  • Assist with performing T&M invoicing, and other relative paperwork
  • Assist with the approval of timecards for the drivers
  • Assist with the review of all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
  • Assist with maintaining records of rental agreements and other important data
  • Assist with the management of rental contracts
  • Assist with the negotiation of the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
  • Assist with the management of the timely delivery and return of rental equipment
  • Assist with the management of invoices to ensure proper billing and payment
  • Assist with the orchestration of the repair of rental equipment when necessary


  • High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred
  • Preferred candidates will possess two (2) years of equipment management and or procurement experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and fleet vehicle maintenance
  • Practical knowledge of office procedures and customer relations
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and software packages including specific knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills

  2. The employee will frequent lift, handle and maneuver engine parts and components and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds unassisted
  3. Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception
  4. Required safety equipment: Steel toe and/or metatarsal shoes, protective eye wear, hard hat, hearing protection, protective goggles, masks, face shields, welding gloves, etc.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment
  2. This position requires the completion of a thorough background check including driving, employment and education verification, SSN eVerify, employment references, and pre-employment drug screening.
