Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager. The Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager must be highly motivated and self-driven to help grow Production, Maintenance, and Gathering/Midstream business. The Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager will provide engineering design, quoting, and field oversight for oil and gas facilities related work in the Oil & Gas Services Group in the Field Services Division. This role will focus on existing customer needs along with growing the production/gathering/midstream facilities and maintenance work volume. The Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager will report to the Group Manager and will help support all production/facilities/gathering/midstream engineering efforts within the group. The Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager will assist in supervising the daily operations of the facilities personnel. This position will be based out of the corporate office in Grantsville, MD and will be flexible with telecommuting, office, and field work. A large portion of the Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager's time will be spent on customer sites providing quotes and/or conducting/overseeing installation, repair, or maintenance operations. The Operations Manager will manage their own schedule to best grow and manage the facilities/maintenance business. The Oil & Gas Facilities Operations Manager may also oversee operations of related work in other industries including but not limited to Aggregate, Energy, etc.

This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of operations and must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work extended hours to include weekends, holidays, evenings and occasional overnight/out-of-town work. This position will work out of the Corporate Office, located in Grantsville, Md. and report to the Group Manager of the Services Group in Field Services.


  • Responsible for the facilities operations involving Oil and Gas processing and transfer within the Services Group
  • Accountable for the safety of the facilities department
  • Oversee training of all field staff within the department and conduct training when needed
  • Assist customers with designing equipment/components to innovatively solve problems
  • Provide quotes to customers both externally and internally (internally for multi-trade bidding)
  • Oversee and conduct field operations related to facilities installation, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices
  • Stay up to date on cutting-edge technologies and industry trends
  • Monitor industry regulations and be able to assist customers with interpretation and implementation as it relates to their business
  • Work on a combination of engineering specialties covering more than one discipline
  • Work closely with sales and leadership to identify future potential business growth scoping opportunities
  • Assist the accounting team with project cost tracking and invoicing
  • Aid other field personnel as needed
  • Provide daily operations updates to Operations Management
  • Frequently provide individual and team performance feedback
  • Travel to customer locations including MD, PA, OH, VA, WV, NY, NJ, DE, DC, etc.
  • Oversee operations of related work in other industries including but not limited to Aggregate, Energy, etc.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Preferred (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
  • 10+ years of industry related experience preferred
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude for positive leadership skills and motivation
  • Extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas production/gathering/midstream facilities construction, maintenance, repair, and operations
  • Experience in equipment/material specifications and design
  • Thorough understanding of separation, dehydration, and compression
  • Strong knowledge of equipment sizing and specifications (piping, fittings, flanges, valves)
  • Knowledge of automation and communication equipment troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance
  • Understanding of QA/QC processes, PQR (procedure qualification report), WPS (welding procedure specification), WPQR (welding procedure qualification report), and NCR (nonconformity report)
  • EIT (Engineer In Training) or Professional Engineer Certification preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Project
  • Experience with ProContractor preferred

  1. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
