Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Operations Technician.  The Operations Technician will perform labor in potentially all areas of the Service Group of the Field Services division. The Services group handles all work related to the company’s involvement in the natural gas industry. The Operations Technician must be available to answer calls from the designated Beitzel Supervisor/Manpower Coordinator during set scheduled on-call rotations.

This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of Oilfield Services and must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed. The Operations Technician will report to the Field Supervisor and will work in areas as directed.


  • Prepare T&M tickets, receipts, and other paperwork as required by the operation
  • Complete operations training
  • Perform the day to day activities assigned by the customer and oilfield personnel and ensure that all required inspections, rig-up/ rig-down, and emergency situations are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist Mudster Technicians in the rig-up and rig-down process
  • Serve as a point of contact between operations personnel and Beitzel Corporation during the assigned hitch
  • Identify issues and concerns from the field and ensure that a positive relationship exists between the Beitzel field staff, the customer, and Division Management
  • Alert Division Management of non-routine issues and repairs or issues that cannot be resolved in the field or that would jeopardize the operations ability to continue operations
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance, repairs, and additional work with the customer, and Division Management
  • Aid other field personnel as needed
  • Provide daily operations updates to Operations Management
  • Work a scheduled hitch on an assigned location
  • Duties will vary but may include training and basic operation in the following areas: moving trucks, unloading trucks, operating heavy machinery (telehandler, excavator, man lifts, skid-steer, etc.), operating The Mudster, cleaning equipment, patching containment, confined space watch, and other duties as assigned by the customer


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Services and Excavation Services is preferred
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in dealing with the public in a manner which will facilitate constructive problem solving
  • Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations. Ability to meet deadlines
  • This position is subject to the Beitzel Corporation Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes: pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return to duty testing, and follow-up testing

  1. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
