Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) full-time Journeyman Electrician. The Journeyman Electrician will participate in; lead; and direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of electrical components and applications ranging from low to high voltage. Such applications include, but are not limited to: Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal, Solar, Wind Energy, Commercial, Residential, etc. 

This position will require a flexible schedule that includes extensive travel and out-of-town work.  Candidates must be willing to work extended hours to include weekends, holidays and evenings.  Areas of operations include, but are not limited to:  ME, MA, NH, VE, NY. 

The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Field Services Group located in Grantsville, MD.


  • Provide physical labor and general labor to electrical trades and to various construction and industrial projects
  • Perform electrical installs, repairs, trouble shooting, and general labor as required.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Provide detailed paperwork, and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in a professional and workman-like manner
  • Provides supervision and support for Electrical Assistants
  • Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures
  • Provide support and supervision for Electrical Services employees
  • In addition, may perform all duties of General Laborer, Skilled Laborer, and possibly Carpenter
  • Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue
  • Aid other field personnel as needed
  • Be willing to work on the off hitch and demonstrate commitment to the job

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • A minimum of (3-5) years of electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education and experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Electrical Services is preferred
  • Journeyman’s license is required
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately. Practical knowledge of office procedures and customer relations
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Skill in dealing with the public in a manner which will facilitate any constructive problem solving possible
  • Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations. Ability to meet deadlines
  • This position is subject to the Beitzel Corporation Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes: pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return to duty testing, and follow-up testing

  4. Required safety equipment:  Metatarsal boots, ARC flash rated clothing, protective eye wear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
  2. This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
