    Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for (1) seasonal part-time Snow Removal Laborer.  The Snow Removal Laborer will be responsible for the safe and timely snow removal at the Beitzel Corporate Headquarters among other nearby properties in Grantsville, MD. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, etc.  The Snow Removal Laborer will be required to remove snow in before office hours begin, and throughout the business day.  

     

    This Snow Removal Laborer will report to the Corporate Facilities Manager. This position will be based out of Beitzel Corporation’s Corporate Headquarters located in Grantsville, Maryland.

    Responsibilities

    Safety:

     

    In all actions, employee will promote a culture of safety and empower other employees to express any safety related concerns, including stop work authority for every employee.

     

    Snow Removal:

    • Perform snow removal in an organized, professional, proficient, and safe manner
    • Adhere to all company safety protocol
    • Perform daily vehicle maintenance and safety inspections and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
    • Promptly report all vehicle maintenance issues to repair services
    • Load and unload materials for snow removal
    • Maintain clear sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways
    • Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas of the company

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in snow removal
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license – preference will be granted to those candidates with a clean driving record
    • DOT 10 Certification is a plus
    • Basic knowledge of safe and proper materials handling
    • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, as needed, to include early morning hours and extended hours
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Team-oriented and able to work effectively and efficiently with others

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

    1. Sit for long periods of time
    2. Drive during the day or at night
    3. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and handling of materials
    4. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds unassisted
    5. Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception
    6. Wear required safety equipment such as: Steel toe boots, protective eye wear, gloves, reflective clothing, etc.

     

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    1. Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment
    2. This position requires the completion of a thorough pre-employment background check including employment and education verification, SSN eVerify, employment references, and pre-employment drug screening. In accordance with our Company Substance Abuse Policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
