    Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for a full-time Saw / Robotic Beamline Operator.  The Saw / Robotic Beamline Operator will utilize various industrial tools and will be responsible for the set up and operation of the Python robotic beamline as well as the Band Saw. This operator must maintain a clean and safe work area and perform a variety of duties including grinding, de-burring, cleaning of parts, cutting, removal of scrap and operating forklifts. This position must be competent in the use of computers and knowledge of CAD and CNC programming is preferred. This position will accurately complete all paper work associated with work orders as well as performing other tasks as assigned in support of fabrication shop management.

     

    The Saw / Robotic Beamline Operator will work out of the Bittinger and/or Grantsville fabrication shops. This position will report directly to the Shop Foreman.

    Responsibilities

    • Capable of safely operating a Band Saw and/or CNC Plasma machine
    • Possesses knowledge of saw functions including power button and all switches
    • Capable of safely operating a Python Robotic Beamline
    • Possesses knowledge of computer functions including email, Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Must be capable of extensive use of overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and parts as needed.
    • Must have knowledge of and experience with basic blueprints and drawings
    • Able to use basic measure devices including a tape measure
    • Able to learn system functions and calibrate Python Robotic Beamline
    • Must perform maintenance of all equipment associated with the operation of the Python Robotic Beamline
    • Must perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in reading and executing work orders and QA sheets

    Qualifications

    • Preferred candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of 1 year of experience and general knowledge of worksite safety, Plasma Table operation and Band Saw operation.
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing 
    • Must be dependable, trustworthy, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work independently or in a team environment
    • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that may include extended work hours and occasional weekends  
    • Must possess excellent math skills including adding, subtracting, decimals and fractions.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Must be able to work independently, follow instructions, multi-task while maintaining a clean work area.
    • Must possess a proven history of Safe Practices and Safety Awareness

    • Required safety equipment: Steel toe and/or metatarsal shoes, protective eye wear, hard hat, hearing protection, protective goggles, masks, face shields, gloves, etc.

    1. Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment
